Name
NACSCUZ is an acronym that stands for National Association of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions of Zimbabwe. It is the national trade association of savings and credit cooperatives [SACCOS] in Zimbabwe, providing professional services to affiliate Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies in order to develop their capacity to mobilize personal savings from members for onward lending to their members and improve their living standards.
Registration
NACSCUZ was dully registered as an apex body for Savings & Credit Unions Cooperatives in Zimbabwe on registered on 27 February 1986 as per the Cooperative Societies ACT (Chapter 24:05) and its registration number is 1685. NACSCUZ mandate – as the umbrella body for SACCOs in Zimbabwe – are mainly advocacy, representation and capacity building to SACCOs in Zimbabwe.
Affiliation
NACSCUZ is affiliated to the African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) which is affiliated to the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU).
